What is included in the room rate?
  • Overnight stay including breakfast buffet.
  • Free admission to our in-house thermal baths with spa area (indoor and outdoor thermal pools and sauna).
  • The Leukerbad Guest Card offers various free services and discounts on activities in the town (free local bus and sports arena, discounts on admission to public baths and mountain railways).
What are the opening hours of the hotel and spa?
  • Reception opening hours: 7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Spa: open daily from 7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
  • For hotel guests, admission to the hotel spa is included from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 2:00 p.m. on the day of departure.
What are the cancellation conditions?
  • There are flexible and non-refundable rates.
  • With the Flex Rate, free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before arrival, after which 100% will be charged (30% deposit required at booking).
  • Non-refundable rates cannot be canceled free of charge – travel cancellation insurance is worthwhile in this case.
  • When booking a room via our hotel website, travel cancellation insurance can also be taken out.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
  • Check-in: possible from 2:00 p.m. if the room was booked via our hotel website
  • Check-in: possible from 3:00 p.m. if the room was booked via booking.com & Expedia
  • Check-out: by 10:30 a.m.
  • Depending on availability, late check-out is possible for an additional fee (surcharges: until 12 noon + CHF 20 / until 2 p.m. + CHF 40 / until 4 p.m. + CHF 60).
Do I need to make a reservation for the thermal baths and spa?
  • Hotel guests: no reservation required for the thermal baths and spa.
  • External guests: Reservations are required for external guests; tickets must be booked online.
Where can I make a reservation for the thermal baths and spa as an external guest?
Are children allowed in the thermal baths and spa?
  • Children are welcome at the thermal baths and spa.
  • The saunas are accessible to persons aged 16 and over.
  • Children only when accompanied by an adult
  • Please observe spa etiquette. We are not a water park. Relaxation and tranquility are important to us.
What are the admission prices for external guests and how long is admission valid for?
  • Admission for external guests is valid for 3 hours.
  • Holders of a valid Magic Pass with the swimming option and holders of the Leukerbad Card are entitled to free admission upon presentation of their card.
  • 3 hours Adults with guest card = CHF 25.50
  • 3 hours Adults without guest card = CHF 30
  • Children under 6 years of age are admitted free of charge.
  • Children aged 6-15 with guest card = CHF 12.75
  • Children aged 6-15 without a guest card = CHF 15
How does online check-in / registration work?
  • 2–3 days before arrival, you will receive a link to the online registration form.
  • If you don’t receive anything, please check your spam folder and contact us briefly by email (info@therme51.ch) or phone—we will send you the link again.
How do I get there by car and where can I park?
  • The hotel is located in the center of Leukerbad, approx. 100 m from the bus station.
  • Guests can park at a reduced rate in the Rathaus parking garage (special hotel rate for our hotel guests of CHF 9 per night).
  • For a stress-free arrival, we recommend driving directly to the Rathaus Parking garage. If you are arriving with a lot of luggage, there are transfer points available at the reception desk.
  • You can obtain your exit ticket at the reception desk.
Is there an electric charging station?
  • Yes, the hotel has an electric charging station (e.g., Tesla charger, AC) that can also be used by other brands.
  • Use is permitted during the day from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • External guests pay CHF 0.60 per kWh.
  • Hotel guests receive a discounted rate of CHF 0.40 per kWh.
How do I get there by public transport?
  • Take the train to Leuk/Susten, then continue by bus to Leukerbad.
  • The hotel is located about a 2-minute walk from the bus station.
What catering options are available?
  • Breakfast buffet is included in the room rate.
  • In the evening, you can reserve a table and dine à la carte or enjoy a 4-course gourmet menu—with a clear focus on vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Fish and meat can be added as a supplement.
  • If you booked your room directly through our website, you can add half board at a special price of CHF 45 (at least one week before arrival). This offer is only valid if half board is booked for the entire stay.
Do I need to reserve a table at the restaurant?
What are the opening hours of our restaurant?
  • Our restaurant is open daily.
  • Hot meals served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Fridays and Saturdays until 9:00 p.m.)
  • During the off-season, times may be adjusted.
What is important when it comes to bathrobes, towels, and slippers?
  • Bathrobes and towels for the thermal baths and spa are included for hotel guests.
  • For environmental reasons, we do not provide disposable bathing slippers. Please bring your own.
  • Bath slippers can be purchased at reception at a cost price of CHF 7 (various sizes available).
Are pets allowed?
  • Yes, dogs are welcome at the hotel for an additional daily fee of CHF 10. Please let us know when you make your reservation, as we also have allergy-friendly rooms where pets are not allowed.
  • For hygiene reasons, animals are not permitted in the thermal baths, saunas, or breakfast area.
  • Please inform our service staff in advance if you wish to dine with your dog in our restaurant.
Is the hotel accessible?
  • Both buildings (guest house and bath house) have an elevator and barrier-free rooms are available.
  • For special requirements (shower chair, specific room location, etc.), please contact us directly so that we can allocate a suitable room.
Is the spa recognized as a health resort/spa?
  • Yes, Therme 51° is recognized as a Swiss spa and health resort.
  • Depending on the health insurance provider, basic insurance may cover approximately CHF 10 per night for a recognized spa treatment package. It may be worthwhile to inquire about supplementary insurance (no guarantee, always check the insurance terms and conditions).
How do I book physiotherapy or wellness treatments?
  • Physical therapy is provided on medical prescription; please send the prescription in advance so that appointments can be scheduled.
  • Physiotherapy, massages, and cosmetic treatments can be booked by phone, email, or in person at the reception desk.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the treatment may be charged.
Are there any offers for families and children?
  • Family rooms and connecting rooms are available.
  • The guest house offers a games room and a lounge with a library, among other amenities. Outside, there is also a playground near the sports arena, swimming pools, and numerous activities.
Are there fitness and exercise programs available?
  • There is a small fitness room in the bathhouse, and depending on the season, Pilates or exercise classes are also offered.
  • Combined with hiking, biking, skiing, and the thermal spa, the hotel is designed as an active and recreational hotel.
  • With the guest card, you can use the gym in the sports arena free of charge.
